About

The Orchestra Italiana del Cinema was born inside Forum Music Village, the historic recording studios founded in the late 1960’s by four encyclopedic figures as Ennio Morricone, Piero Piccioni, Armando Trovajoli, and Luis Bacalov.

The mission of this ambitious project, strongly wanted by the OIC’s President Marco Patrignani, is to promote and perform the extraordinary original soundtrack heritage, researching, recovering, and restoring film music masterworks’ scores, through the support of Associations, Foundations, private and public Libraries.

The Orchestra Italiana del Cinema is quickly becoming one of the most interesting new orchestral project on national and international musical scene. It’s working on a wide repertoire of film scores, with particular attention to the Italian historical one; many unpublished and/or unrecorded scores were recovered in a short period thanks to the extraordinary work carried out by excellent music transcribers.
